Cha Dogyeong came into Sejun’s house.
This made it look like Sejun had called Cha Dogyeong into his house and he was greeting him happily.
Even though instead of greeting him with a bright smile he had thrown himself into his arms while crying sadly, anyway, it was like that.
That was the first time Sejun accepted Cha Dogyeong into his own space, regardless of the author, the mission, or whether Lucky Love Mode had activated.
Of course, from Dogyeong’s perspective this was the second time. After the day Sejun came back from Busan, the two of them had once again met of their own will, without any system interference.
“Seo Sejun, why are you crying?”
Even though Sejun gave no reply, Cha Dogyeong asked him again.
Why are you crying?
What made you so miserable?
He kept patting his butt like one would comfort a child. At that moment Sejun realized he had stripped off all his clothes earlier and he was only in his underwear.
He felt Cha Dogyeong’s hand tapping his butt through fabric thinner than usual, and he belatedly realized with rising embarrassment that Dogyeong was the first person today to ask him why he was crying.
Normally, if an adult man was asked this by another man, it would be proper to insist he was fine and that he hadn’t been crying, but Sejun felt more tears run down his face at those words.
In the end Sejun did not answer, he just hugged Dogyeong’s neck tighter and buried his face in his chest.
Even though Dogyeong saw a man who kept crying without answering his questions, instead of scolding him he chose to hold him tighter in his arms.
The strong embrace did not feel suffocating.
It felt strangely comfortable.
Sejun finally calmed down only after a long time.
So embarrassing.
The thought came to him late, after he had cried like a child the moment he saw Cha Dogyeong’s face.
He cried like a little kid in front of Dogyeong. He wanted to die of shame.
Unlike crying just because things were hard and miserable, this time his sorrow had truly exploded and that made it even worse.
If someone asked what was different between the two, it was hard to explain clearly, but there was some subtle difference only the person going through it could know.
Dogyeong, who had been easily holding Sejun up, stroking his back nonstop and patting his butt, finally set him down on the sofa when Sejun showed signs of calming after a long time.
Then, as if it was his own house, he went to the kitchen, filled a cup with water, and brought it back to Sejun telling him to drink.
As a bonus, he handed him tissues to wipe his tears.
Sejun, who had been dazed by Dogyeong’s smooth flow of actions, naturally took the tissues, wiped his tear-soaked face, and drank half the water.
Only then did he feel a flood of embarrassment he could not handle.
Ah fuck, I am the older one?
It was only a two-year difference, so it was not like he was a child to whom each year mattered, but embarrassing was embarrassing.
On top of that, he had stripped earlier and was in nothing but his underwear, which made it worse. He thought it would be strange to start awkwardly putting clothes back on between men, so he stayed still, but that did not change how embarrassing it was.
[Sejun-nim…]
As Sejun was thinking that, the system tried to start a conversation like it had something to say, but it cut itself off and no words followed.
It sounded like it was mumbling, “For two men to do this, the situation you are in is…” but Sejun did not hear it clearly.
When he started to calm down and feeling embarrassed again, Sejun emptied the rest of the cup of water in gulps.
“What happened in the dungeon?”
“Kof!”
But when Dogyeong asked that, Sejun immediately choked. The clear water ran down from under his chin to his chest. Damn it.
It was only water, not soda, so it should be fine, Sejun thought, and he wiped only the wetness around his mouth before answering bluntly.
“Nothing happened.”
Ah, his voice had no strength at all. He tried to sound confident, but that voice had no persuasiveness.
He really did not want to talk. Getting comfort from Dogyeong had been unexpected, but there was no good in spreading around the fact that he had kissed Lee Dohun.
Sejun avoided Dogyeong’s eyes clumsily.
Because of that, he did not notice that Dogyeong’s steady gaze moved past his face and lingered on his chest, where the water he had just spat out had soaked it.
The water that had pooled dripped down and fell onto the underwear that was the only thing Sejun was wearing, and Dogyeong’s gaze grew heavier.
“You look like something did happen.”
Dogyeong said as he naturally sat down beside Sejun on the sofa. The soft cushion sank, and Sejun turned his head with a startled face.
“Nothing happened.”
“Seo Sejun.”
“What…”
“You really cannot lie.”
The tone was scolding, but his voice sounded amused.
I cannot lie?
Sejun had rarely deceived anyone in his life.
Except for when he told his parents things like “I’m fine” or “I get along well with my friends,” he had hardly ever faced someone he needed to lie to.
Sejun realized that his lie was completely seen through, and he avoided Cha Dogyeong’s gaze awkwardly. But Dogyeong, who was staring straight at him even though Sejun showed no will to explain, narrowed his eyes and soon made a mischievous expression.
“Today you went in with Lee Dohun, right?”
“……”
“Should I ask Lee Dohun?”
Dogyeong asked that, and he raised his phone like he would call Dohun right away.
Of course, Sejun panicked.
“Hey, hey!”
Sejun almost jumped and blocked Dogyeong with his whole body.
But then he saw that the screen on Dogyeong’s phone was not the contacts or the number pad, but the messenger app, and he belatedly realized he had been tricked.
Huh?
When he realized he had been fooled, he made a sullen face, but then he noticed that what Dogyeong was looking at on the phone was his own messenger profile photo, and he blinked slowly.
…Why is my profile here? Sejun blinked as he looked at the familiar picture of himself wearing sunglasses and smiling.
“Hey…”
Sejun was about to ask why that was here, but when he saw Dogyeong’s hand move in a flash to the contacts and scroll to find Lee Dohun’s name, he completely forgot what he had been about to say.
“Hey! Seriously! Damn it!”
Sejun forcibly grabbed and took the phone so Dogyeong could not contact Dohun, and unexpectedly, Dogyeong handed it over without resistance.
Sejun, who never thought he could actually take it away, stood there dumbfounded. Even though Sejun had just snatched something important, Dogyeong showed no change in expression, and he leaned his chin on his hand while watching Sejun.
“So tell me. Even if you don’t say it, it’s only a matter of time before it’s exposed.”
Sejun bit his lips. Why is this bastard so persistent? Why is that such an important matter?
But Dogyeong was right. If he decided, it was only a matter of time before he found out what happened yesterday. People in this world, who might not cooperate with Sejun, would easily open the door of information to Dogyeong.
“Today in the dungeon, escape room… I got caught.”
In the end Sejun mumbled and opened his mouth. Explaining what had happened today made him feel like he wanted to die, but once he started, the next words came out quickly.
“The mission told us to kiss…”
“Kiss?”
“Yeah, like the one I did with you before.”
The moment he mentioned with his own mouth the kiss he had done with Dogyeong, he felt insane embarrassment, but he had no choice if he wanted Dogyeong to understand.
“…With Lee Dohun?”
“…Yeah.”
Dogyeong’s voice sounded lower somehow, but Sejun, already dead in gloom did not notice it. His voice kept dropping further. It was not like Sejun had done something wrong, but being caught that he had kissed not just anyone else, not even a woman, but Lee Dohun, made him feel like he wanted to bite his tongue off.
“You did it?”
“I said we could just go to Antlion Hell instead…”
It was something where they had to choose one or the other.
Either do the mission and kiss, or refuse and go to the Antlion Hell. But normally, such things never caused conflicts between players. Usually there were light mini games or quizzes, so there was no reason to fight. Whether you succeeded or not, the attempts carried no real burden.
But if it was a escape room where they had to kiss, then the story changed.
In this case, the problem was that Sejun had no choice. Sejun did not want to kiss Lee Dohun. He would rather choose the Antlion Hell.
No matter how painful the Antlion Hell was, Sejun was the one who had to endure it anyway, so whether they went there or carried out the mission, the two of them should have found some kind of compromise.
But Dohun forced a kiss on Sejun and made the decision by himself. He completely ignored Sejun’s will.
