For the next few days, Jion didn’t see Han Sungwoo. The ghost who had always stuck right by his side and chatted nonstop while he worked at the convenience store had vanished in an instant without so much as a goodbye, so it made him worry.

Just in case, he went to the Engineering Building, but he didn’t see Han Sungwoo there either. Jion had no way of knowing whether Han Sungwoo had gone to the underworld or had simply gone far away somewhere else.

Was he shocked that I’m dating a grim reaper? Enough to suddenly disappear? But he never really seemed to believe me… Jion thought as he mechanically scanned the barcode of an item a customer had brought over, but the sound of the POS machine brought him back to reality.
