KEG 109

His hands were still moving shamelessly, and his lips caressed my sensitive spots.

“I’m making you feel this good.”

The act itself felt so good that I started wondering if I’d always been this vulnerable to pleasure.

Having him around was convenient, he protects me without me having to ask, and he brings in money. I even found myself thinking I should just close my eyes, do whatever he asked, and take everything he offered.

That was why it was also unpleasant. It felt like everything was going exactly as Baek Yejun wanted.

“You’re a piece of shit.”

In response to my remark, Baek Yejun nibbled on the back of my neck.

That would leave a mark, but since I didn’t have to go to work for a while, it would be fine. I raised my semen-stained hand and pushed Baek Yejun away from my neck.

“Stick out your tongue.”

At my request, Baek Yejun obediently stuck out his tongue.

“Watch how I do it, then do it to me.”

I sucked on Baek Yejun’s tongue and let my breath mingle with his inside my mouth.

Since I was already feeling good, I wanted the kind of stimulation I craved. I preferred soft, light touches, not the kind that felt like my tongue’s root was being yanked out or my throat was being pierced.

I really wished he’d take this opportunity to learn something and stop with those kisses that feel like he was trying to devour me.

I heard slurping sounds and heavy breathing. I could also hear the rustling of the sheets and our moans.

At some point, I stopped feeling bothered even when I was this close to Baek Yejun. The level of physical contact I allowed had gradually become more intimate as well.

I felt that something was going wrong, but I judged that it was still within my limits to handle.

So just this once.

I’ll let it slide just this once.

You need money to live.

You’d think life would be comfortable if you had just enough money to get by, but that’s not really the case. That’s because the amount of money needed to “get by” and the amount needed to “live comfortably” are worlds apart.

My wallet held only the bare minimum needed to survive.

So I asked him.

“Do you have any money?”

Baek Yejun smirked and pretended not to know what I was asking, “Why?”

“Can’t you tell just by looking? If you don’t have any, go withdraw it.”

We were standing in front of a claw machine.

Inside this machine, which only accepted cash, were a pile of cheap character dolls I didn’t even recognize.

“You’ve been living off the card I gave you, and now you’re asking for cash too?”

“You fucking… If you’re not going to give it to me, just leave.”

“Do you want a doll?”

We were not on the same page. It pissed me off that he was throwing a fit for no reason, even though he saw everything happen right next to him.

I pointed my finger at a lizard-like baby monster inside the claw machine.

“Didn’t you see that little bastard swallow my house key and run off? I have to get it out before I can go home.”

I’d been pickpocketed by a baby monster.

Baby monsters had become all the rage on the black market lately, and now even abandoning them was a trend. Judging by the industrial-grade tie hanging around its neck, it seemed the owner figured that as it grew, the tie would strangle and kill it before it reached adulthood.

“We should contact the relevant department about this. How are we supposed to catch it~”

“If we contact them, they’ll just take the little monster away without giving us back the key it swallowed. Even if we hand it over, we’ve got to make sure we get the key back first.”

“See? That’s why I’ve been saying you should’ve switched to a keyless entry system ages ago~”

“It’s a hassle to have to remove it when I move.”

Baek Yejun and I had a silly argument in front of the claw machine. Even as we argued, the little monster kept darting around among the dolls, repeatedly revealing and hiding itself to drive me crazy.

On one side, that dog-like Esper with white hair was getting on my nerves, and on the other, the lizard head inside was doing the same.

“Ugh… Just get lost. I’ll handle this myself.”

“Huh? How…?”

Before the white-haired bastard could even finish his sentence, I shoved my hand right into the slot of the claw machine.

Clunk, clunk!

“Hahaha! Waaah! Hahaha!”

As I gave the inside of the claw machine a good thrashing, Baek Yejun laughed so hard he nearly choked.

Instead of just standing there watching, why don’t you try contacting the manager?

Anyway, he’s useless.

There were ways to make a copy of Baek Yejun’s spare key or call a locksmith, but I wanted to try everything I could before giving up.

In the end, this whole stupid mess was just a process of convincing myself.

I’m such a pain in the ass. I’m the one who annoys me the most.

“Whoa! Hey, guys! What’s that over there~?!”

Just as I was trying to grab the baby lizard’s tail, I heard a voice shouting at me from somewhere.

“Wow, this is legendary~! It’s YouXube material, guys! You gotta admit it?!”

I turned my head and saw a guy wearing sunglasses, holding a phone mounted on a selfie stick, filming me.

Is this guy doing a live stream or something, like those Yamete Agency bastards?

“Sir~ What are you doing here~? Can I interview you?”

“Go away.”

“Come on, you look like you need help just by looking at you~ I’m a perception-type Esper! Do you have some kind of beef with the little monster inside?”

I was about to tell him to get the hell out without listening to another word, but I hesitated for a moment. He’d gone so far as to bring a camera to offer help, so maybe I could put him to some use.

If I let this cocky little bastard save my skin just this once, and I quickly get my key back, wouldn’t that be a win-win for both of us?

“… Please help me… with my house key…”

“Hah!”

The moment the words “Please help me” left my mouth, that useless, high-class Esper bastard next to me (who wasn’t even offering any help) cackled.

Even when I glared at him, the eyes peeking out from under his mask remained crinkled. It seemed my predicament was Baek Yejun’s damn source of joy.

“…This guy swallowed my house key and ran off.”

“Ohhh~ How’d it end up swallowing it?”

“I was getting out of the car to grab some food…”

I hesitated for a moment before answering. I was wondering just how much of this I should reveal.

“Yeah, getting out of the car?”

As I stalled for time, the man pressed me for more details. I quickly ran through the details in my head and narrowed down what I could safely share.

So, it all started three hours ago, right there in the car.

The hospital was undergoing renovations, and Baek Yejun was on disciplinary leave. The two unemployed people at home, with nothing to eat, had driven out to grab a meal.

We spotted a suitable restaurant, parked in the public lot, and were about to get out when…

“Hyung, look over there.”

Baek Yejun pointed somewhere as I was about to get out of the car. When I looked in that direction, I saw a car in the corner of the parking lot shaking slightly back and forth.

“Can you see it?”

“See what?”

“The driver’s side window.”

I figured if I just brushed it off by saying I couldn’t see anything, he’d keep pestering me forever, so I took a closer look.

All I could see was a pair of handprints clearly imprinted on the heavily tinted front passenger-side window. Two handprints, each a different size.

“You can see them doing something weird, right?”

Yeah, I could.

It looked like they were doing some kind of face-to-face thing. I could see what looked like their hands clasped together urgently.

“Sexual harassment, for fuck’s sake….”

I thought, “What a great thing to show me right before eating.” Just as I was about to open the car door and get out, Baek Yejun in the passenger seat pulled me close to stop me. The car door was slightly ajar.

“What are you thinking? Can’t you see because of the tinted windows?”

“Haa…”

At that moment, I thought Baek Yejun was asking for another kiss. Since he made those kinds of requests so often, I just assumed that was what he wanted this time too.

So I ended up digging my own grave.

“Can’t you just set a daily quota?”

“Huh?”

“Whether it’s kissing or sex, stop acting like a jerk in public and set a predictable schedule and frequency.”

I pulled out my car key and pressed the tip against Baek Yejun’s neck. Baek Yejun was silent for a moment after my reply, then chuckled.

“Do you want to kiss?”

I was annoyed at having to answer. I thought, “You’re the one who wants to do it, so why are you asking me?” But I answered meekly, afraid that making a scene would ruin the negotiation.

“Yeah, I fucking want to.”

“I didn’t know you wanted to kiss me that badly.”

“Yeah, I’m so desperate I could die.”

Baek Yejun released me from his embrace. Now that my body was free, I turned my head and grabbed him by the collar.

“How about once a day, for three minutes?”

“That’s too short.”

“In exchange, would you be satisfied if I did it whenever you want?”

I tilted my face slightly and moved closer. At a distance where our lips were almost touching, we lowered our gazed, focusing only on each other’s lips.

Our warm breaths met, and the tips of our noses brushed against each other.

“Okay.”

The deal was sealed. It felt exhilarating. I’d gained my freedom in exchange for three minutes a day.

“–But not right now.”

Thud!

As Baek Yejun spoke, a dull sound echoed from the car swaying back and forth in the corner of the parking lot.

I turned to see baby monsters crawling out of the open driver’s side door. The people who appeared to be the driver and passenger spilled out onto the parking lot floor.

“Do you see the vests those people are wearing?”

At Baek Yejun’s words, I looked at the vests they were wearing.

The vests, which had practical pockets like fishing vests, bore the words “Abandoned Monster Collection Service.”

“They’ve been fighting with baby monsters inside the whole time~”

What a fucking joke.

It meant it had all been a misunderstanding on my part. Three minutes of freedom? More like three minutes of hell I’d imposed on myself.

I had to back down from the negotiation. We hadn’t even signed a contract yet, and nothing had been fulfilled. I looked at Baek Yejun urgently.

But then.

“Squeeeek–!”

A baby monster barged in through the open door of the car we were in.

Then it ran around the car like a madman, doing its best to torment me as I tried to tell him to call off the negotiations. Baek Yejun just laughed as he watched.

That son of a bitch thinks I’m his very own personal clown.
