RACA SS 7

“Uh? I know that face…”

“Oh my! Isn’t he the actor who played the chaebol’s younger brother in that daily drama?”

Soon, voices poured out from all directions as people recognized Eunsol. Honestly, he was confused, he hadn’t expected such an immediate reaction.

“Eunsol, let’s go.”

With a gentle call, he placed a hand on Eunsol’s shoulder, which had stiffened in surprise. It was a warmth that seemed capable of melting even an ice block in an instant.

Thanks to that, Eunsol quickly came to his senses. He first covered his face with sunglasses, then lifted Beomwoo, who was pouting and looking as if he were about to burst into tears at any moment.

Jaebeom, who had already taken care of Eunwoo, gave a brief nod of greeting to the people who looked like they were about to speak, then placed Eunsol ahead of him and left the spot.

“They’re just leaving.”

“Maybe not…”

“Maybe he was just someone who looked like him.”

“But both of the kids’ parents are really good-looking.”

“Right? Actually, I thought the father who always comes to pick them up was a celebrity at first too.”

“Really? Actually, me too.”

Eunsol felt relieved hearing the whispers behind them and glanced at Jaebeom. But the latter had apparently been looking his way as well, because their eyes met right away.

“I’m telling you, you should’ve been the one to become an actor, hyung.”

“Is your face okay?”

Jaebeom didn’t even properly respond to the comment he had just made and changed the subject. Whenever that happened, Eunsol realized again that Jaebeom had no lingering interest in acting.

“Daddy, are you hurt?”

Eunsol’s thoughts could not continue any further at the fact that both Beomwoo and Eunwoo were worried about him.

“Daddy, I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay. Daddy isn’t hurt. Beomwoo, don’t worry.”

Eunsol smiled as he comforted Beomwoo, who was about to cry again. His nose still ached, but he couldn’t bring himself to show it when he saw those worried eyes looking at him.

Because they walked quickly without stopping, they reached home in no time. Normally Beomwoo would have run around energetically here and there, but maybe he was concerned about Eunsol being hurt. Even after Eunsol set him down, he clung to his leg and wasn’t willing to move.

“Pyo Beomwoo, now that you’re home, what should you do first?”

“I have to wash my hands.”

Eunwoo had already disappeared into the nearest bathroom as soon as he entered the house, and Jaebeom tried to hurry Beomwoo along to send him there too.

But Eunsol couldn’t bring himself to separate from the child who was still watching his reaction and refusing to leave.

“Do you want to go wash our hands together with Daddy?”

Even while glancing at Jaebeom, Beomwoo brightened and quickly nodded. Eunsol patted the child’s head, then turned to Jaebeom.

“I’ll go with him. Please get some snacks ready for the twins.”

“Don’t spoil him too much.”

“He’s like this because he got scared, so just this once.”

Wasn’t it also because they were happy to see him after such [Read on]a long time? Eunsol wanted to allow this much. Jaebeom knew what he was thinking and nodded.

“Beomwoo, let’s go.”

Eunsol swung his arm playfully as he walked toward the bathroom with Beomwoo. Eunwoo, who was just coming out, blinked when he spotted the two of them.

“Eunwoo, did you wash your hands?”

“Yes. When we come home, we have to wash our hands first.”

“That’s good.”

A satisfied smile naturally appeared on his lips. Maybe because he was happy to be praised, Eunwoo slowly lifted his still damp hand.

Then he proudly showed it to Beomwoo. Even though he usually acted very mature for his age, moments like this showed that he was still definitely a child.

“I’m going to wash too!”

Falling for the provocation, Beomwoo rushed into the bathroom as if he hadn’t been timid earlier. Soon the sound of water came from the sink.

“Jaebeom-appa probably prepared snacks. Go eat first, Eunwoo.”

“Yes. But Daddy.”

“Hm?”

“Your nose is red.”

Even though he had acted like everything was fine, it seemed Eunwoo still hadn’t stopped worrying.

“Oh, really? But it doesn’t hurt. It’ll go back to normal soon.”

Eunsol gently stroked the child’s cheek to reassure him. Earlier Eunwoo probably couldn’t show it because Beomwoo had been crying.

Only then did Eunwoo seem reassured. He nodded and walked to the kitchen, and in the meantime Beomwoo finished washing his hands and came out with water dripping from them.

Seeing how clumsy Beomwoo looked with everything he did, Eunsol chuckled and quickly dried the child’s hands with a dry towel.

***

Early in the morning before the twins’ graduation ceremony, Eunsol apologized to the children with a guilty expression.

“Daddy will make it to the graduation ceremony without being late.”

He had worked hard to take time off, but of all days, the advertiser complained that their product hadn’t been shown and contacted them saying they needed to urgently reshoot.

And unfortunately, the other actor said today was the only time he was available, so Eunsol had no choice but to go.

Fortunately, there wasn’t anything major to worry about, and the filming location wasn’t far. He planned to quickly go and return before the children even noticed.

But maybe because they were excited about graduating, the two children woke up early, and Eunsol’s outing was immediately discovered.

“Daddy, you’ll definitely come, right?”

Beomwoo looked at him pleadingly. Feeling sorry, Eunsol gently rubbed the back of the child’s head.

“Yes. I’ll definitely come. Don’t worry.”

After hugging Eunwoo as well, Eunsol turned to Jaebeom. Jaebeom had taken the whole day off, so Eunsol could at least leave with some peace of mind.

“I’m sorry. I’ll go quickly and come back. Please keep an eye on the kids.”

The children had been so happy when they heard that both of their dads could come to the graduation ceremony, which made Eunsol feel even more sorry.

“Okay. I’ll take good care of them. Go safely, and don’t rush at the filming site either.”

Jaebeom soothed his troubled mind. He also didn’t hesitate to offer advice, warning that acting hastily to come quickly might cause more problems.

“Okay. Oh, my manager is calling. I think he arrived. I’ll go and come back.”

Eunsol kissed Jaebeom and the twins one by one before leaving the house. It was still before sunrise, so he was able to get on the elevator right away.

“I’m sorry, Actor. Of all days for this to happen…”

“It’s okay. It isn’t your fault.”

“I already explained things well in advance, so don’t worry. Just do what you normally do.”

“I will.”

The van carrying Eunsol sped down the road, and in less than thirty minutes they arrived at the filming location. It was possible because it was nearby and the roads were almost empty that early in the morning.

But the problem happened on set.

“Well… the item still hasn’t arrived yet. Please wait a little.”

Both Eunsol and the other actor had arrived early, but the PPL product from the advertiser who had complained still hadn’t arrived.

If they requested it themselves, they should have prepared it in advance. Eunsol thought that to himself as he turned to the side.

“I heard you have another schedule. Are you okay?”

The other actor had originally been an idol and now worked as an actor, but Eunsol remembered hearing he also traveled for regional performances, so he asked.

As expected, the other actor responded with an awkward expression.

“Well… my manager said we need to leave around lunchtime, but it should be done by then, right? Are you okay, Actor?”

Everyone already knew that Eunsol was married and had children. During the previous shoot he had even asked fellow actors and staff for understanding one by one and gave them gifts, saying he was moving the schedule forward a bit to spend the end of the year with his family.

Knowing that well, the other actor spoke carefully, and Eunsol gave a bitter smile.

“I also have an important appointment this afternoon, so I hope we can finish quickly.”

Eunsol checked his watch again, unable to hide his anxiety. It was already approaching eight o’clock. According to the original schedule they should have started preparing much earlier, but now he could only hope the advertisement product would arrive before noon.

Perhaps the message got through. Thirty minutes later, the car carrying the advertisement product finally arrived at the site.

But the problem didn’t end there.

“I’m telling you, this can only be done once.”

“If we’re doing it anyway, what’s the problem with doing it more?”

“It doesn’t fit here. Who carries something like this jingling around in a tense situation?”

An argument had started between the PD and the employee who brought the advertisement product.

The company wanted their item to appear even one more time, while the PD insisted he couldn’t include PPL that interfered with the production.

Neither side backed down, only Eunsol and the other actor were left burning with impatience. It eventually affected the acting too, and the other actor started making frequent mistakes.

“Ha… I’m sorry, Actor Eunsol. You had a harder time today because of me, right?”

By the time they finally finished filming, both Eunsol and the other actor felt completely exhausted. But when the other actor bowed repeatedly with an apologetic face, Eunsol quickly waved his hands.

“It isn’t your fault. We both worked hard, so let’s part ways cheering each other on.”

In fact, the advertiser company that had caused the biggest problem disappeared before filming was even finished when they couldn’t include as much PPL as they wanted.

Hearing that, the other actor looked much better as he said goodbye.

“Thank you, Actor. Then I’ll go first.”

“Yes, go safely. See you at the next shoot.”

Eunsol also hurriedly ran to the van waiting for him and climbed inside. The car immediately departed without hesitation.

There wasn’t even enough time to remove his makeup or change clothes. Less than one hour remained before the graduation ceremony started.
