“Well… that’s true.”
Sejun didn’t use social media, and while Cha Dogyeong had an account, he rarely posted anything.
And even if they had social media, it wasn’t the kind of photo they could post. So, anything that was just pretty to look at was out of the question.
But anniversaries are supposed to be about photos and memories… After pondering for a moment, Yerin quickly came up with an answer.
“How about doing something ‘special’ that only you can do?”
“Something special?”
“Just looking at you wearing Cha Dogyeong’s shirt right now, I bet he’d be over the moon.”
At those words, Sejun looked down at his shirt, the one he had put on by mistake.
He knew the term “boyfriend’s shirt” existed, but did that really mean Cha Dogyeong would be over the moon just seeing this? Wouldn’t he just think, “Oh, he’s wearing my shirt,” and move on? Sejun, unable to understand that sentiment, tilted his head in confusion, but Yerin’s explanation didn’t stop.
“But honestly, just wearing a boyfriend’s shirt isn’t enough to call it a special event.”
Yerin sized up Sejun. The look she gave him was quite serious.
Although Sejun was the one who had asked for help, just as he was about to back out of the whole thing under that intense gaze, Yerin spoke up.
“Since you’ve got a bit of a cat-like face, why don’t you do a cat cosplay?”
“What?”
“Put on some cat paws and cat ears? Or… if you want to take it further, wear something revealing.”
Sejun’s face turned bright red as he tried to process what she’d just said.
So, if he put on chubby cat paws and a cat-ear headband like at an amusement park, and maybe even wore revealing clothes if necessary, Cha Dogyeong would be happy?
…Me?
The moment Sejun imagined himself in such an outfit, he cringed.
“How am I supposed to do that?”
Sejun asked in horror, but Yerin remained unfazed.
“Why not? You do it because you know your boyfriend will like it. It’s just the two of you anyway.”
“Ugh.”
Sejun frowned at the argument, which sounded plausible enough.
But no matter how much he thought about it, he didn’t think he’d look cute or sexy dressed like that, nor did he think Cha Dogyeong would like it.
In Sejun’s mind, he couldn’t help but picture Cha Dogyeong’s face: the moment he saw him like that, he’d frown and say, “I do like Seo Sejun, but this is a bit much,” before turning away in disgust.
Sejun shuddered.
“Who would like me looking like that? They’d think it was a punishment.”
“No, I’m telling you, he’ll definitely like it.”
“Why are you so sure?”
“Oppa, boyfriends are always cute no matter what they do.”
And honestly, just watching Oppa act like that is pretty cute. Though, to be honest, your face isn’t cute at all. Yerin kept the rest of that thought to herself.
Sejun, who had been grimacing, groaned at Yerin’s strong assertion. He seemed a little wobbly.
Yerin thought to herself. This guy is actually really innocent sometimes. No, not “sometimes,” he’s just innocent.
Well, if she were in that situation, Yerin wouldn’t absolutely do something like that, regardless of whether her boyfriend thought it was cute or not, and she didn’t really want to see someone doing it either.
But what if the one doing it was Sejun? Wouldn’t that change things a bit? Even setting aside any personal feelings, she was a little curious.
Cat ears and cat paws with that face! I might actually be jealous of Cha Dogyeong!
Sejun looked troubled at those words. It was hard for him to just ignore what he’d heard, especially since he didn’t have a single idea for an anniversary event.
He’s falling for it, he’s falling for it.
“Is that so…?”
He fell for it. Yerin smiled victoriously.
“But I don’t think a cat costume would look good on me. Isn’t there anything else?”
“I think it would suit you just fine.”
“It might suit me, but I’m a bit on the heavy side.”
Yerin looked him up and down.
He was definitely handsome, tall, and had a sleek, muscular build, even a casual photo would be good enough to use as what people call a “boyfriend pic,” but… maybe because she knew exactly what kind of person was inside that body, the thought that he was cute came to mind before she could think he was cool.
Hmm, it would probably look good on him, but that guy has a strong lack of self-confidence.
It was unlikely she’d be able to convince Sejun to wear a cat costume with just a little persuasion. Yerin shrugged her shoulders.
“Then let’s try mixing it up a bit.”
“Mix it up?”
“Yeah, wear the cat ears and paws, but…”
Yerin whispered as if she were hatching some kind of scheme. Sejun’s expression shifted constantly as he listened.
Finally, after their long chat ended and the two said goodbye, Yerin watched Sejun walk away with a confident stride. Though he looked a bit unsure, he seemed happy to have something prepared for their anniversary. Yerin thought to herself:
“You better thank me for this, Cha Dogyeong.”

A few days later, on his way home from work, Dogyeong stopped by a flower shop near his house and picked up a bouquet he had reserved in advance.
“Oh my, so you really are Hunter Cha!”
Perhaps because the name wasn’t very common, the shop owner had been unsure, but when the famous hunter himself came to pick up the bouquet, she beamed and welcomed him warmly.
With a smile, Dogyeong took the bouquet, skillfully signed an autograph when asked, and left the shop after receiving a “Have a nice day.”
One hundred pink roses.
They might be common, and some say there’s no gift more meaningless than flowers, but isn’t it true that no one dislikes receiving flowers?
Dogyeong wasn’t the type to fret over marking every single anniversary, but he wanted to see Sejun’s happy reaction to this bouquet.
I wonder if he even remembers that today is our 100-day anniversary.
Sejun had never been in a relationship before and had told him he was his first, so it was highly likely he hadn’t even thought about anniversaries.
I hope he likes it. As he thought that, Dogyeong immediately checked his phone when the light turned red at the intersection.
[When are you coming?]
Sejun had sent him a message.
For some reason, he’s been asking when I’m coming a lot today.
Even as he thought that, Dogyeong obediently shared his location.
[Right now, at the intersection in front of your place.]
It was right in front of Sejun’s house. Since Dogyeong’s license plate had been registered at Sejun’s apartment, which allowed two vehicles, for some time, he drove in without any issues and headed for Sejun’s apartment.
Hmm.
Just before opening the front door, Dogyeong knew Sejun was standing there. Not only had Sejun made no effort to hide his presence, but Dogyeong simply couldn’t have missed it.
What’s going on? He’s not the type to wait right at the door like this, no matter what.
“Hyung, I’m here.”
Since Sejun wasn’t the kind of person who would harm him, Dogyeong opened the door without a second thought.
“Uh… welcome.”
An awkward greeting followed.
“…….”
Dogyeong was rarely one to get flustered, but the moment he opened the door and stepped inside, his eyes widened and he froze in place.
The thoughts that had been running through his head – like, “I should hand him the bouquet as soon as I see Sejun’s face,” or “I wonder what kind of expression he’ll make” – vanished completely, leaving his mind a blank.
Dogyeong blinked slowly.
The scene before him was so unfamiliar that he couldn’t grasp the situation for a moment.
Sejun was standing right there at the door, as if he’d been waiting for Dogyeong the whole time.
But his outfit was unlike anything Dogyeong had ever seen before.
He had fluffy-looking cat ears pinned to his head, and something resembling cat paws was clipped to his hands.
Unfortunately, Sejun couldn’t bring himself to wear a cat costume, he was wearing a light gray suit Dogyeong had never seen before, but even that looked out of the ordinary.
Seo Sejun in a suit? And with cat ears and cat paws on top of that?
Is this a dream? He’d never once confused dreams with reality, but that thought crossed Dogyeong’s mind in that moment.
No matter how much he thought about it, there was no way Sejun, with his pride, would prepare such a cute little event.
But if this were really a dream, shouldn’t Sejun be running toward him, not in a suit, but naked with just an apron on, wearing cat ears and paws?
The Sejun before him was red, as if just standing there was already pushing him to his limit, and he couldn’t even bring himself to look Dogyeong in the eye.
And yet, despite that, the hand wearing the cat paw was raised up in a rather cute gesture…
“This is my limit, damn it…”
Sejun’s words brought Dogyeong back to reality.
“No matter how much I thought about it, I just couldn’t bring myself to wear a naked apron or tights or whatever.”
Even so, his face – which revealed that he’d searched for what people generally liked their partners to wear, only to find out that a suit was considered sexy and pull one out of a corner to put on – still couldn’t meet Dogyeong’s gaze directly.
“You don’t like this?”
As he said that, he finally glanced at Dogyeong, and gauged his reaction.
Dogyeong remained silent. He slowly looked at Sejun from head to toe. It was impossible to tell what he was thinking.
Even Sejun, who considered himself the person closest to Cha Dogyeong and thought he knew him fairly well, couldn’t figure out what Cha Dogyeong was thinking at a moment like this.
By then, Sejun started regretting it.
Ugh, what kind of event is this? I shouldn’t have done it. Who on earth likes seeing a big guy wearing cat ears and cat paws? Even if Cha Dogyeong likes me, he never said he liked this kind of thing…
