RACA SS 6

“Hyung… what if I finish just this project and then take a break for a while?”

After finishing dropping the two children off at kindergarten, Eunsol, who was slowly walking while holding Jaebeom’s hand, suddenly spoke. Jaebeom sent him a look asking why.

Eunsol sighed at that quiet consideration.

“Every time I come back after a few days, I get startled. The kids grow much faster than I think.”

In his memory, their images were still vivid, struggling to flip over and babbling words no one could understand.

But when did they grow so big?

Beomwoo and Eunwoo had already reached the age where they could clearly articulate what they want to say. Seeing the twins, who had grown up so fast while he was preoccupied with work, he started feeling that he had neglected his family.

“I sent you photos and videos every day.”

“Yeah. But seeing them myself is different. I want to watch the kids grow right beside them. Beomwoo and Eunwoo do not say it, but I think they like it when I am with them.”

He did not say it directly, but Jaebeom read Eunsol’s feelings from between the lines. The child probably worried that Eunsol would disappear while he was at kindergarten, and Eunsol likely knew that too.

“Do whatever you want.”

Instead of digging into those feelings, Jaebeom simply gave the answer Eunsol wanted. If his spouse had something he wanted to do, he was ready to give everything willingly.

If it had been the agency president or the manager, they would never tell him to rest right when he was gaining popularity. They would rather say that with such a mindset, it was difficult to survive in the fierce entertainment industry.

“But my manager is already asking how the script for the next project looks. Is it really okay to rest?”

Jaebeom looked at him with a gaze that asked what the problem was.

“Tell him you will not do it.”

“Mm……”

If it were that easy to decide, he would not be worrying like this. Eunsol could not answer and simply hummed.

“You added that condition when you signed the contract. If you do not want it, you will not do it.”

“That is true, but…”

Even if the contract said that, how often did things really work out according to those clauses when it came to actual activities? The manager was considerate toward Eunsol, but he also had the role of coordinating things so work would continue smoothly.

The fact that he was already pushing the next project meant it could be a very good opportunity, and since he had brought the work for Eunsol’s sake, it was awkward to refuse.

Then Eunsol suddenly let out another long sigh.

“I am really selfish.”

Just a moment ago he had been worrying about whether he should rest for the children, yet now he did not want to miss a good project either.

“It is good to have many things you want to do.”

“Do not say it like that. What would be better to do?”

“Well……”

Jaebeom dragged out the word and lightly swung their clasped hands. Eunsol smiled at the playful gesture but listened carefully to what advice he would give.

After all, he had once been a great actor loved by everyone. Eunsol had expectation and trust that he would offer a wise solution.

Just like he had solved Eunsol’s worries until now.

“First, would it not be fine to think about that after the movie you are filming now finishes?”

“Ah… that is true.”

It was true. There was something he had to do right now, so there was no need to focus on what came afterward.

“You will also spend a few days with the kids.”

“Yeah. I said I would go to their graduation ceremony.”

Jaebeom had already known from before the children handed over their graduation invitations. Because of that, he had finished the important filming first and left a few days free.

That was why he had stayed overseas for more than a week and had not been able to properly see the children.

“Right. So during that time, just think about what you will play with them.”

“I will. But what should we do?”

Once one worry was solved, another appeared. Jaebeom looked at Eunsol for a moment, then chuckled and kissed Eunsol’s smooth forehead before pulling away.

“That is strange.”

“What is?”

“The Lee Eunsol I remember was not a worry doll. When did that change?”

He said it to remind him of the time when, even while imprisoned, he still thought positively, tried actively to solve problems, and made people laugh with his unexpected thoughts.

“Well… now there are the kids.”

“Did you mature after giving birth to the twins?”

Eunsol rolled his eyes at the teasing remark. Even so, he could not bring himself to say that it was not true. Even he felt that he had definitely changed compared to before.

“Yeah. I did. I have rabbit-like twins to feed and raise, and a tiger-like alpha husband.”

His proudly raised chin, and the pose made Jaebeom laugh. Even gestures like that looked adorable to him, which made him wonder if he himself was the truly hopeless one.

“That is right. The reason I can focus on raising the kids is all thanks to Lee Eunsol supporting me.”

As he said that, the hand gently stroking Eunsol’s head felt exactly like praising a child, and Eunsol’s shoulders slumped.

In truth, he already knew. No matter how proud he felt about becoming popular, it was nothing compared to the scale of the business Jaebeom ran.

Before, he had worried because he did not know how big the company was. When he later realized how pointless that worry had been, he felt both astonished and amused.

“In that sense, shall we look for something we can do together for the kids today?”

“What could there be?”

The two of them returned home while talking about various things they could do to have fun with the twins. However, once they actually arrived home, they ended up spending some intimate time as adults. By the time Eunsol fell asleep from exhaustion and came to his senses, it was already close to the time for the twins to come home from daycare.

“I cannot live like this… I told you we should take it a little easy.”

Eunsol let out heavy sighs while hurriedly putting on his clothes. His face was full of anxiety.

“I told you it is fine even if we are a little late. The teachers will take good care of them.”

“No. I will go greet them. They will like it more.”

He had said he would pick them up. If that was the case, he wanted to arrive early and wait. That way, it felt like it would ease at least a little of the guilt from not being able to stay with them.

“Alright.”

Jaebeom placed a hat on Eunsol’s head and handed him sunglasses, then walked toward the entrance. After that, he took out both pairs of shoes they would wear and set them down in advance.

Eunsol smiled softly at the consideration and quickly slipped his feet into his shoes. When they stepped outside, the elevator had already arrived.

As they rode down, the air felt noticeably warmer than in the morning. In any case, now that it was February, the biting cold seemed to have subsided considerably.

“It would be nice if we could go on a trip.”

Eunsol looked up at the sky and spoke with a hint of regret.

“Then we can go.”

“It is too short.”

“Then go for a drive nearby.”

“Should we?”

His eyes sparkled behind the sunglasses. Jaebeom raised the corners of his mouth as if to say, “What’s so hard about that?”

It wasn’t long to get to the kindergarten, and fortunately, it seemed the children wouldn’t come out yet.

“Are you cold?”

“No.”

In response to Jaebeom’s gentle question, Eunsol quickly shook his head. Even so, he could not take his eyes off the door for even a moment.

There were already many other parents waiting for their children besides them. He could feel glances occasionally drifting their way, but Eunsol paid no attention.

They probably did not recognize him. With his hat pulled and sunglasses on, they were likely just curious about who he was.

The parents coming to pick up their children were always pretty much the same. That was because there probably weren’t many who had the time. They had seen Jaebeom often, but since it’s been a while since Eunsol came, they were unsure.

“What’s wrong?”

Eunsol didn’t even turn around, but Jaebeom asked as if he had immediately noticed the situation.

“Does it bother you?”

“No.”

As he shook his head lightly, the kindergarten door opened. The time for exploration came to an end quickly as he saw the adorable children rushing out with their teacher.

Eunsol’s eyes also brightened as he waited for the twins to appear. After a while,

“Daddyyyy…!”

Upon spotting Eunsol, Beomwoo ran toward him with his arms wide open and a broad smile. Seeing how delighted he was to see him, a smile also appeared on Eunsol’s lips.

“Yes, Beomwoo!”

Eunsol also happily spread his arms wide and bent his knees. However, it seemed his joy was too great.

“Ugh!”

Eunsol let out a groan from the heavy impact that struck his face. Beomwoo had failed to properly control his running speed and had crashed into him while charging straight ahead.

“A-are you okay, Dad?”

Beomwoo’s eyes widened as he realized his mistake too late.

“Mm.”

His nose stung a little, but that was nothing. Eunsol smiled, then suddenly stopped when he realized his vision had become strangely clear.

At that moment he noticed that everyone around them was staring this way, unable to hide their shocked expressions.
